SS-Obersturmbannführer Dr Ludwig Ehrsam - Vermisst (später Erklärt)

SS-Ostubaf Dr Ludwig Ehrsam is a officer that gives a lot of emotions. He started his active carreer in SS as an Doctor in the Concentration camps. He joined the SS in 1931, but in 1936 he is listed in the SS-Sanitäts Sturm of the KL Dachau, pherhaps went he through basic traning there. The same year he was transfered to the KL Lichtenburg, and acted as its Doctor (Lager Arzt). He served in KL Lichtenburg only for a short time, as he soon was once again transfered to the newly established  KL Sachsenhausen, he remained at KL Sachsenhausen to 1937 as he once again for a short was transfered to KL Lichtenburg, after KL Lichtenburg he was transfered to the new Concentrationcamp outside Weimar, KL Buchenwald, still as its Lagerarzt. But soon he once again back to KL Sachsenhausen and as its Lagerarzt. This time he would be there until the outbrake of WWII.
Wich meant that he would leave the KL system and act as doctor for fighting units of the Waffen-SS.

At first he was in the SS-Totenkopf Division, in wich he would serve until 1944, and when the war ended he was Korps doctor of the IV SS_Pz,Korps.

He was listed as Missed in action after the war, but later it was revieled that he had been prosecuted and hanged by the Soviets just after the war. Not for his service in the KL system but as an active officer of the SS-Totenkopf Division, a unit wich the Soviets had a bad eye for.

Dr Ludwig Ehrsam had a reputation as being harsh and his nickname was "Grausam". He is one of the officers I study because of his service in the KL Sachsenhausen.
