Alfred Roge is one of the men who Ritterkreuz has been questioned. Official is nowadays his Ritterkreuz Cancelled. But if you search the net he is still listed as RK-Holder. Even his DKiG is questioned, some sources claims that it was given to him in March other Sources say April 27.

According to DRK Roge was attached to SS-Inf.Gesch.AuE.Abt. when he became MIA. The last known message from him was in February 1945, but there is no doubt that he was in Breslau attached to SS-Regiment Besslain in the battle of Breslau (today Wroclaw).

Some sources claims that Alfred Roge survived the war, but died later because of the wounds he got in the final battle in a hospital as a POW.

Anyone who can give more info on Alfred Roge is more than welcome to send me an  email or comment here.

Best regards
Georg
