MIA SS-Officers of the SS-Kdo/Brig 36 "Dirlewanger"
Officers of the Infamous SS-Kommando/Brigade and later on paper 36.SS-Pol.Gren.Div "Dirlewanger". If all of above Officers really was officers of this unit is unknown to me, when it was not very uncommon that officers was sent to "Dirlewanger" degradeded as SS-Men. Many of the men of SS-Dirlewanger was also picked up in different Concentration Camps. The "Dirlewanger" mostly took criminals and political oponents. Some of the MIAs has the last known place KZ such as Buchenwald, which indicates that they was picked up in the Camp and transfered to the "Dirlewanger". Oskar Dirlewanger (Commander) himself was beaten to death at the en of the war by former inmates of a KZ.
Anyone who can shead some light on the above officers feel free to ad this info as a comment or write on "my" thread on Axis History Forum - http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=226683 I especially want to know more about Paul Rossbach.
In total are there 662 soldiers who are listed as Missed in action attached to this unit.
More info (Thanks Peter) on above
