SS-Ustuf Franz Budka is listed by many sources that he died in May 1945 in the Battle of Breslau, but according to Deutsche Rote Kreuz was he last seen in 1952 in the infamous Soviet Camp in Workuta. Franz Budka is one of the few Ritterkreuzträger from the Waffen-SS who went missing. In my opinion there are many who are believed to be dead, such as Kümmer from SS-Div Wiking who said to his men to leave him behind because of the wound wouldn´t he be able to make it. But according to DRK was he last seen as POW in Soviet, much later then 1945.
