We know through a relative to SS-Hstuf Jörgen Mortensen that he survived the war. He managed to escape from Ebensee and make it all the way back to Denmark. With Guntram Plaum it´s reported that he was killed by former inmates of the Aussenlager Ebensee. If it´s true is unfortunately not known. Pflaums last rank was not SS-Obersturmführer, it was SS-Sturmbannführer.
