Karl Heinz served in 16./SS-Pz.Gr.Rgt.8 wich previously was known as SS-Pol.Rgt. 2 the company he served in was the regiments Pionier Kompanie. So obviously he served as an Pionier. He went missing the in the last months of the war.

Even if DRK and HIAG have asked about his whereabouts several times, his fate has not so far been solved.
