Karl Hofmann ended the 4.SS-Pz.Junkerlehrgang in January 1945, 2,5 months later he got reported MIA in the battle of Budapest. After finished course he was first attached to the SS-Pz.AuE.Rgt and soon after commissied to join the 5th Kp of SS-Panzer Regiment 3 "Totenkopf"

In the Fhrliste der WSS from NARA is his last assignment and town in which he was born listed.
